Can I dine in at Ombra Italian?

Of course! We’re a cozy, casual spot with limited outdoor seating—just a few tables available under the stars. Because we’re such a small place, we can fill up quickly, so if you’re planning to come with a group, it’s a good idea to book in advance!

We’re a counter-service venue—so when you arrive, feel free to grab a menu and choose a table, then head up to the counter to place your order and pay.

We’ve teamed up with Uber Eats, allowing you to enjoy our delicious Italian meals delivered directly to your doorstep.

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

Our team will always try to accommodate dietary needs, including gluten-free, celiac, vegetarian, and vegan options—just let us know how we can help! These options are subject to availability – please let the staff know at the time of ordering.

What’s the ‘Ombra’ difference?

We believe great food doesn’t have to be fancy—it just has to be made with care. Our team makes fresh pasta daily, simmers rich ragus slowly, and prepares all our sauces from scratch. It’s all about quality and freshness, so you can count on a delicious meal every time.

Do you sell alcohol?

Since we’re not a licensed venue, we don’t sell alcohol—but the good news is, we’re BYO! Feel free to stop by the bottle shop on your way and bring along your favourite drinks. We do also offer a range of soft drinks for sale.

Please note, as we are a small venue we are unable to offer ice, ice buckets or speciality glassware. We can offer standard wine glasses and a corkscrew!

Does the menu change?

Our menu is designed to be seasonal, showcasing the freshest ingredients and the best of Australia’s produce. While some core menu items will remain the same, others are rotated regularly to offer variety and freshness.

How’s the parking?

There is limited on-site parking – however there is paid street parking nearby.

Is Ombra Italian wheelchair accessible?

Wheelchair users can access our counter to place orders, and there are two tables off the patio which are wheelchair accessible. Please note there is a step up to the main dining area. We are more than happy to assist in any way possible to ensure your visit is enjoyable.

What does Ombra Italian mean?

‘Ombra Italian’ translates to ‘Shadow’s Italian’ in English. Shadow was Chef Dan’s beloved Keeshond dog, who was his greatest supporter in the kitchen.
